Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal is reportedly in talks to bring Jose Mourinho to join them with a lucrative contract.

The Special One, 60, has been manager of Roma since 2021, but there has been speculation that he will leave the Serie A club in the summer, despite being contracted to the Gallirossi for another year.

Now a new report claims that the Portuguese boss will be made a big offer to tempt him to take up a new challenge in the Saudi Pro League.

Foot Mercato report that Al-Hilal want an experienced manager to helm the club, and that they have listed Mourinho as a prime managerial candidate for their side.

Sources believe a meeting next week in London will be held between Mourinho and Walid Moaz, the owner of Al-Hilal.

The offer is thought to come with a lucrative financial package, as well as allowing the Portuguese boss to call the shots over players he wishes to bring in.

Mourinho, a former manager of Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, is a two-time Champions League winner with Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010.

The club were close to signing Lionel Messi upon his exit from PSG, but have reportedly turned their attention to Neymar instead.

Al-Hilal finished third in the league standings for the 2022-23 season, behind champions Al-Ittihad and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
