Rangers head coach, Abdulahi Maikaba has revealed that he want to win the Federation Cup to compensate for his side’s poor outing in the Nigeria Premier League.
The Coal City outfit will lock horns with Bendel Insurance in the final of the Federation Cup at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, next Wednesday.
The winner of the encounter will join Rivers United in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
Maikaba believed that his players are well motivated to end the season on a high.
“We want to compensate for our poor showing in the league by winning the Federation Cup,” he told DAILY POST in Lagos.
“It’s a small job with the management’s encouragement and a big motivation from the state government.
“We promise to give our best to make sure that we bring the trophy to Enugu.”
Rangers are aiming for the seventh Federation Cup title having won it six times in the past.
