Former Presidential Adviser, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, has urged Nigerians to pray and work for unity, peace and progress.
Ita-Giwa, in a message to felicitate Muslims on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, called on the citizens to pray for President Bola Tinubu to succeed in office.
The Bakassi leader from Cross River State said the growth and development of the country must be a joint effort by all despite challenges.
“We should always pray for the success of our leaders as they strive to tackle challenges facing the country.
“They count on our prayers and support for their success would translate to the benefit of Nigerians.
“We should come together now that the elections are over and support the government to succeed. There should be unity and peaceful coexistence.
“The country should come together and work towards revamping the economy for our benefit and that of generations yet unborn. We need a peaceful and conducive environment for our economy to thrive.
“We wish Nigerians a Happy Sallah celebration,” she said.
