Legendary Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has approved the club’s £105 million deal to sign Declan Rice from West Ham.
The Gunners failed with two bids for Rice, who was also the subject of a £90 million bid from Manchester City.
However, Arsenal’s third offer for the England international was accepted.
The 24-year-old becomes Mikel Arteta’s third signing of the summer after Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.
Wenger, speaking to Eurosport about Rice, said: “I think it is a good investment. Overall, personally, I think they have made good buys as they are players who are now mature, 23, 24, but still young, so can stay together for a few years.”
