Sensational Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has revealed her telephone conversation with American rapper, Nicki Minaj.
The 20-year-old said she grew up listening to Nicki Minaj, adding that it “feels so surreal” to be on call with her years later.
Ayra Starr appeared in the latest edition of Teen Vogue.
She said Nicki Minaj made her confident, stressing that because of her, she could challenge her teachers.
“It just feels so surreal. I was on a call with Nicki Minaj…. She doesn’t understand how much I love her. I grew up listening to her. I was like, ‘You made me feel confident. Because of you, I could tell my teachers no!’” Ayra Starr said.
The ‘Rush’ crooner also declared that “Being signed to Mavin was definitely one of the best things to happen to me as an artiste.”
