Manchester United winger, Anthony Elanga has ruled out a summer transfer move to Everton despite a lack of first-team opportunities under manager Erik ten Hag’s squad at Old Trafford.
Elanga has been heavily linked with a possible move to Everton this summer, but he won’t be joining Sean Dyche’s side, as reported by Daily Mail.
The Swedish star featured in a breakthrough season under previous Man United interim coach Ralf Rangnick but was limited to first-team chances by Ten Hag last season.
He made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils last campaign and started only five Premier League games as he fell down the pecking order.
The likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford have all been favoured on the wing by Ten Hag, leaving Elanga with the prospect of needing to find a new club to continue his development next season.
Everton were keen to bring the 21-year-old to Goodison Park but have been rebuffed.
The Toffees held direct talks with Elanga but the youngster has ruled out a move amid concerns over his suitability to Dyche’s tactics.
Elanga reported for pre-season duties with Man United and has travelled with the first-team on their tour of America while his future still hangs in the balance.
