A married Nigerian man who travelled abroad for greener pastures has said he won’t be coming back and doesn’t know how to tell his wife to move on.

Human rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Monday, August 7, 2023, said the man asked him to help tell his wife to move on.

“A lot of the men who travelled out of the country in search of greener pastures are not returning to the Nigeria. I feel pity for their wives who keep waiting endlessly thinking that, the monies being sent by the husband for her upkeep and that of the children still signifies commitment to their marriage,” he wrote.

This guy of mine, has told me that he can never return to Nigeria. He said he doesn’t know how to tell his wife to move on with her life, but he would still keep sending monies for her and the children.

He said he is aware he won’t return but in future, he would make way for his children to meet him up over there. Funnily, he said that, if his wife got married and wants to come abroad with his children, he can create a way for her and her new husband but not now. Like 10 to 15 years later.

Wømęn should be aware that some of these men who travelled out of Nigeria, are still always been helped there by some other women citizens in those countries. They should try to have genuine discussions with their husbands so that, they do not wait into regrets.

As for my guy whom I have also advised, for me to help him tell his wife to move on, never. I won’t be in the bad radar of no one. He must look for a way to communicate himself.
