Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde has picked Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford as the English player he wished was Spanish.
Balde expressed his admiration for Rashford, insisting he likes the 25-year-old.
Speaking to ESPN, the Spanish defender said he likes Rashford’s style of play.
“One English player that I’d like to be Spanish would be Marcus Rashford because he is a player who I like his conditions and his way of playing,” he said.
Rashford was superb last season for Man United, scoring 30 goals and registering 11 assists in 56 games across competitions.
He will hope to continue his impressive display for Erik ten Hag’s side this season when they face Wolves in a Premier League opener on Monday night.
