Musical duo, Ajebo Hustlers, have supported the contentious claim made by Grammy-award winning musician Burna Boy that the afrobeats genre lacks lyrical “substance.”

It was reported that Burna Boy claimed in a recent interview with Zane Lowe, that 90% of Nigerian musicians produce meaningless music.

Responding via their Twitter handle, Ajebo Hustlers agreed that Burna Boy was on point.

Ajebo Hustlers tweeted,

“Be mad at Burna all you want!! Still don’t change the fact that half y’all favs make music with no substance. To be honest that’s absolutely fair cause this is entertainment at the end of the day. But he’s saying the bitter truth.”
