Eden Hazard turned down offers from teams in the Major League Soccer (MLS) and Saudi Arabia before he retired from football.
The 32-year-old hung up his boots yesterday, after he was released by Real Madrid in the summer.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Hazard could have still moved to America or the Middle East if he wanted.
“Eden Hazard was not convinced by approaches from MLS and Saudi clubs in the last 4 months as he was already thinking of retirement.
“Hazard decided to try new chapter in his life,” Romano tweeted.
During his playing career, Hazard made over 620 appearances for Lille, Chelsea and Real Madrid and won two Premier League, La Liga and Europa League titles as well as the Champions League, Club World Cup and Ligue 1 crowns.
