The referees committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has suspended 14 referees for poor performance.
The referees’ suspension was announced in a statement released by the body on Monday.
There have been several questionable calls by referees in the Nigeria Premier Football League,NPFL, this season.
The latest was Imamu Maliki’s decision to chalk off an alleged legitimate goal scored by Remo Stars against Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, on Sunday
The affected referees will remain suspended until proper investigations are carried on their activities.
The committee further noted that it would appreciate if full videos of all the games could be provided for proper evaluation of the performance of the referees.
