A civil servant, Lanwe  Bazing, has been gruesomely murdered by suspected armed robbers in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.

It was gathered that the deceased boarded a commercial tricycle from the Mile Six area over the weekend to the renowned De Crux Nite Club, 300 metres away from where he was killed.

After disembarking from the tricycle, the assailants attacked Bazing, stabbing him and robbing him of his belongings before dumping him into a drainage channel, where his remains were discovered.

Spokesman of the State Police Command, Abdullahi Usman, who confirmed the incident said detailed information had yet to be made available to the command.

The PPRO said the command would investigate the matter and apprehend the culprits.
