Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta is not planning to leave the Premier League side at the end of this season to join Barcelona.

On Sunday, there were rumours in Spain that Arteta would walk away in the summer.

However, according to Sky Sports, Arteta is not leaving Arsenal.

The stories had claimed that the Spaniard informed his staff that he was leaving the Emirates.

Arteta is being linked with the Barcelona job, which would become vacant ahead of the 2024/2025 campaign.

On Saturday, Xavi revealed he would be stepping down as Barca head coach at the end of the season.

Xavi announced this following a 5-3 defeat at home to Villarreal, in which the team conceded twice in added time at the Nou Camp.

The result leaves them 11 points behind LaLiga leaders Girona.

Arteta, 41, replaced Unai Emery at Arsenal in November 2019, taking a senior managerial role for the first time in his career.
