The Key Match Incidents, KMI, panel has ruled that Arsenal forward, Kai Havertz, should have received a second yellow card before heading in the winner against Brentford earlier this month.
The 24-year-old had already been booked for an elbow on Bees defender Kristoffer Ajer.
In the 65th minute, Havertz went down under a challenge from Nathan Collins.
But replays showed there was minimal contact between Havertz and Collins, with referee Rob Jones waving play on.
Havertz eventually went on to score the winning goal for Arsenal at the death.
A new report from The Times has now revealed that the KMI have determined Havertz should have seen red after watching the incident back.
However, there will no retrospective action and the German will be available for the Gunners’ trip to Manchester City after the international break.
