Manchester United icon, Wayne Rooney has urged the Red Devils’ players to show their worth in the ongoing campaign.
Rooney said he wants Erik ten Hag’s men to show they deserve to play for Manchester United.
The former England striker feels Man United’s current season is worse than their 2013-2014 season, when they finished seventh under manager David Moyes.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Rooney said: “We finished 7th under Moyes, but it never felt as bad as it is now.”
He added, “Everyone is fighting for their future, the whole club is. As a player, you need to show your worth, show you deserve to play for this football club.
“You can’t just turn it on in a FA Cup final. It has to start today.”
