Arsenal legend, Tony Adams, has expressed concerns about manager Mikel Arteta’s handling of Bukayo Saka, suggesting the young English talent is not getting sufficient rest.
Since assuming the managerial role at the Emirates, Arteta has impressively transformed Arsenal into a title-challenging team.
However, Adams believes there is a significant issue in Arteta’s strategy, particularly regarding Saka’s playtime.
“Last year he [Saka] was phenomenal. Don’t forget, if I have one criticism on Arteta he plays him every single game. He doesn’t give him any rest whatsoever,” Adams said (via The Boot Room).
“Maybe he doesn’t trust what’s coming through underneath him.
“If he was like Grealish or playing for Man City, Saka would be right up there.”
