“It is erroneous to spread the fake news that South East didn’t join the protest”-Filmmaker Ugezu Ugezu writes as he shares video of Igbo men “participating’ in the protest

Filmmaker Ugezu Ugezu, says it is erroneous for anyone to say Nigerians residing in the South East did not participate in the hardship protest today August 1.

Social media users had questioned the quietness of the region after residents failed to troop out on the streets to protest like Nigerians in other parts of the country.

In a post shared on Instagram, Ugezu said the South Easterners protested the way they deemed fit. He shared a video of Igbo men drinking beer, singing, dancing and ‘’hailing’ the President.

‘’They are protesting in their own way” Ugezu wrote
