Former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is the leading candidate to become head coach of the USA men’s national team, according to The Athletic.
USA’s football board are considering a number of candidates but Pochettino is seen by some as the favourite.
Pochettino is yet to manage a team after he was sacked by Chelsea a few months ago.
The Argentine led the Blues to a sixth-place finish last season.
He has also coached the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur in the past.
