Atletico Madrid’s new signing, Conor Gallagher, has thanked Chelsea for making his ‘dreams come true’ during his spell at Stamford Bridge.
Gallagher joined Chelsea at the age of eight.
The England midfielder went on to make 95 appearances for the Premier League west London club.
In a lengthy post on Instagram, the 24-year-old, who signed a five-year deal with Atletico Madrid, said it was an honour for him to wear the Blues’ shirt.
“To everyone at Chelsea, thank you for making my dreams come true,” Gallagher said on Instagram.
“It’s been an absolute honor every time I put on the shirt, and it was a dream come true to captain the team on many occasions. I loved every moment.”
