Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has made a fresh Premier League title prediction.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand insisted that the Gunners will win the Premier League title this season because of their recent signing of Raheem Sterling.

Mikel Arteta’s side signed Sterling on loan from Chelsea on transfer deadline day.

Ferdinand believes Sterling’s transfer to Arsenal is a ‘marriage made in heaven’ for the Premier League North London club.

“You are getting an experienced winger [Raheem Sterling] who has won four league titles; he knows how to get it done,” the former England international said.

“He knows the path to trophies and that is invaluable. How Chelsea have let that out the door, I don’t know; it’s crazy.”

He added: “This is a marriage made in heaven for Arsenal. It’s a perfect fit for me. Raheem has something to prove, too.

“I think he will deliver there and I will say it again: I think Arsenal will win the league this year and this signing only reinforces that thought. I think he could be that important.”
