Two Nigerian men found guilty of multiple rapes in UK

Two Nigerian men have been found guilty of multiple rapes in the United Kingdom.

Tosin Dada, 34, previously of Knox Road, Wellingborough, and Solomon Ibukun Adebiyi, 39, previously of Stanley Street, Northampton, were both charged with three counts of r@pe each in connection with the offence on March 12, 2022.

The 17-year-old victim was s3xually assaulted inside an address on Abington Square in Northampton town centre.

The duo claimed that they had consensual s3x with the victim.

Their nine-day trial at Northampton Crown Court ended last week with both men being found unanimously guilty by the jury on all charges after eight hours of deliberation, Northamptonshire Police stated in a statement on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Both men were remanded into custody ahead of sentencing at Northampton Crown Court on October 25, 2024.
