Real Madrid forward, Kylian Mbappe, is expected to be out for three weeks with a thigh injury, ESPN reports.
This means Mbappe will miss this weekend’s derby with Atlético Madrid.
The 25-year-old was substituted in the 80th minute of their 3-2 win in La Liga over Alavés on Tuesday night.
Mbappe had scored to make it 2-0, before complaining of discomfort in his left leg.
In a statement released by Real today, it said that “following the tests carried out today on our player Kylian Mbappé by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the femoral biceps of his left leg.”
Mbappe is now expected to miss games with Lille in the Champions League and Villarreal in La Liga and the international break with France.
