Journalist Agba Jalingo mourns his soldier brother k!lled by suspected herdsmen in Benue

Nigerian journalist, Agba Jalingo, has mourned his younger brother, one of the two soldiers k!lled by suspected herdsmen in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.

LIB reported that the armed herders attacked the Eguma community on Independence Day, k!lled the soldiers and seven villagers.

Jalingo has now disclosed that one of the deceased soldiers was his brother.

“Again, tragedy has befallen my family and Bedia village. My younger brother AB. CA Agba SS7358, who was serving as part of the Nigerian Navy contingent of Operation Whirl Stroke OPWS, in Benue State was killed in an attack in Agatu LGA, on 1st October 2024,” the journalist wrote.

“Their deployment at Eguma Community in Agatu LGA was attacked by armed bandits. May your soul find safe passage.”
