Former Liverpool player, Jamie Carragher, has warned Manchester United that no club would be interested in signing Marcus Rashford.

Carragher is of the opinion that Rashford is not a world-class superstar and that his wages will be a stumbling block.

NEWSUNPLUG reported that Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, dropped Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho from his matchday squad for the trip to Manchester City on Sunday.

The Portuguese is said to be ready to give his green light for the Premier League club to sell the England attacker with United willing to listen to offers and open to allowing him leave in January.

Metro reports that the England international earns £300,000 per week at Old Trafford and has another £75,000 in bonuses per week, making him the club’s highest earner and one of the highest-paid players in the league.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher said that Rashford will not make Manchester United’s best XI under their new manager.

“I think in some ways, it feels like a bigger decision than it actually is. I mean, is Marcus Rashford in the best XI? Really?” He said on Sky Sports.

“How good is he? We’re not talking about a world-class superstar here. I actually think we talk about Marcus Rashford too much, to be honest.

“He’s a good player – not a great player. It is time for him to leave the club. Whether there will be any takers with the wages the lad is on, who knows.
