Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, cried after his proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur from Sporting CP collapsed in 2019.
Fernandes was on the brink of signing for the North London club but the deal collapsed.
The transfer fee had been agreed but Spurs were unwilling to meet Sporting CP’s demands over the structure of the deal and pulled out of a move.
According to the Daily Mail report, this left Fernandes in tears in his chairman’s office.
Six months later, Fernandes put pen to paper on a United contract.
Since then, he has gone on to become one of the league’s best players, leaving Spurs full of regret.
