A Nigerian journalist, Anastasia Odochi Ozoemena, has asked why women in abusive marriages have multiple children which makes it difficult for them to walk away. Nigerian travel destinations

She posed the question in a Facebook post on Tuesday, noting that the women in all the cases of abusive marriages which she is currently handling, have four or more kids.

“I sincerely do not understand this. All the cases of women in abusive marriages that I handle, most of them have FOUR kids and above. You are in a ” terrible marriage “ yet you are having plenty children. Help me make sense of this. Most times, the man is not financially stable. Na the women dey huzzle. More kids to suffer. Making divorce impossible. Increasing circle of poverty. Most importantly, how do you get pregnant for a man that beats you and drags you to hell. My head ooo !!!,” she wrote.
