32 suspected hard drug abusers apprehended during midnight raid in Lagos

The Lagos State Environmental Taskforce have arrested 32 suspected hard drug abusers during a raid of some hot spots at Agidigbi area and Ikeja GRA of the state at about 1am today August 20.

The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who disclosed this on X, said the areas visited during the operation includes Alausa CBD, NERDC Road, Alhaja Ashabi Cole street, frontage of African Shrine in Agidingbi area, Adekunle Fajuyi way, Shobo Arobiodu, Isaac John Street, Oba Akinjobi road in GRA Ikeja and other adjoining streets where the presence of some undesirable elements was noticed.

Wahab said during the raid exercise, the suspects comprising 25 males and 7 females were in possession of hard and illicit drugs suspected to be indian hemp, codeine and other narcotic substance. He added that the suspects will be charged to court accordingly.
