A young lady, Oreoluwa, has opened up about her heartbreaking health journey that started as far back as 2016.
She recalled how her mum first noticed the way she walked had changed, but she felt no pain at the time. Days later, it got worse, and they had to visit the Federal Medical Center. That was when her life turned around — doctors told her she had a melted femur head on her left hip.
The only solution was a hip replacement surgery, but she was told she had to wait until she was at least 20 years old. Oreoluwa was just 14 then.
From that moment, pain became her reality. She said she withdrew from social life, limped everywhere she went, and even had to send children younger than her on errands because walking became unbearable.
Her mum stood by her all through the struggle, doing everything to ease her pain and even supporting her training in fashion design despite the challenges.
By 2022, when she finally clocked 20, hope returned as doctors confirmed she could finally undergo the surgery. But just when she thought healing was near, life dealt her a bigger blow—her mother fell sick and passed away that same year.
