Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has revealed what former Chelsea goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois told him about the Red Devils’ latest signing, Senne Lammens.

The former England international said this while making assessment on the activity of Ruben Amorim’s side in the recently concluded summer transfer window.

Rio Ferdinand said he was concerned about Lammens, saying that the young goalkeeper may find life difficult at Old Trafford.

Lammens moved to Old Trafford from Royal Antwerp at the closing stages of the transfer window.

Speaking on Rio Ferdinand Presents, Ferdinand said that adjusting to the Premier League could be an issue for the goalkeeper.

However, he revealed that Real Madrid goalkeeper, Courtois has given him a positive remark about Lammens.

“Thibaut Courtois gave me a resounding judgement on him. He told me Lammens has got great potential,” he said.

The former defender said he hopes the club can give the goalkeeper the opportunity he needs to showcase his potential.

“Obviously, he’s going to need a little bit of time adjusting to the league,” he added.
