It was a frightening situation for Chelsea forward Joao Pedro who was vomitting during Brazil’s 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Chile.
The former Brighton player collapsed and vomited on the pitch after a heavy collision with Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli. The 23-year-old has hit the ground running at his new life at Chelsea, had initially equired medical attention but he has reassured fans that there is nothing to worry about his condition.
Joao Pedro clashed his head-on with his teammate Martinelli while chasing a loose ball. The impact knocked him off balance, and he vomited on the pitch which required the assistance of the medical staff.
He continued to play on and was only substituted in the 71st minute for Kaio Jorge. He spoke about the incident afterwards and reassured fans he was now feeling better.

He said, I was following the action, I was running to try to catch the ball. When I looked ahead, Martinelli was there. We collided there, and I received a blow to the stomach. I felt a little bad, but I was calm afterwards.”
Pedro has started his career on a flying note as a Chelsea player and had been nominated for the best player of the month award in the Premier League.
