Brazilian forward, Joao Pedro, has spoken about the on-field incident he had with team-mate, Gabriel Martinelli.

Recall that Pedro vomited on the pitch after he collided with the Arsenal player during Brazil’s 2026 World Cup qualifier’s 3-0 victory against Chile on Friday.

The incident happened when Pedro was chasing a loose ball in the first half of the encounter.

The Chelsea man felt bad on the pitch and collapsed as medical staff rushed to his aid before he later able to continue playing.

The 23-year-old star was substituted in the 71st minute of the encounter.

Speaking on the development at his post-match interview after the match, Pedro said he felt bad after colliding with Martinelli as he promised fans he was feeling better after Brazil’s win.

“I was following the action, I was running to try to catch the ball,” Pedro said.

“When I looked ahead, [Gabriel ] Martinelli was there. We collided there, and I received a blow to the stomach. I felt a little bad, but I was calm afterwards.”
