Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle has urged goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali and the rest of his players to be in a perfect state of mind when they face South Africa in Tuesday’s 2026 World Cup qualifier.
Chelle’s side head to the game after defeating Rwanda 1-0 in their last game in Uyo.
South Africa, meanwhile, defeated Lesotho 3-0 a few days ago.
Speaking to reporters at his pre-match interview, Chelle also hailed Nwabali’s display against Rwanda.
“You know if your coach asks you to have a warrior set of mind, so I am happy about his [Nwabali’s] game two days ago. He had a great game and I want him to be like that tomorrow,” the Malian said.
“He played a great game and his state of mind was perfect. For me, he needs to continue that and I ask that from all my players.”
