Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMAN (OPFY) rendered emergency assistance to a lone driver who survived a motor accident along Bwari–Jere Road, about 20 kilometres from Jere, Federal Capital Territory.

The accident involved a black Toyota car which somersaulted and landed upside down in a ditch, leaving the driver wounded but alive.

Immediate past Kaduna State Commisioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan who wrote on his verified Facebook, said he quickly alerted security forces after evacuating the victim from the wreckage.

On receiving the distress call, the Commander of Sub-Sector 4 OPFY dispatched troops to the scene. The soldiers arrived promptly, recovered the overturned vehicle, and ensured the victim was stabilised for medical attention.

The troops also deployed a towing vehicle to remove the damaged car from the scene, ensuring free movement of vehicles and safety for road users.

Residents commended the swift response and humanitarian support of the troops, noting that their action reflected the military’s commitment to service beyond the battlefield.

They described the intervention as an example of people-centric security operations dedicated to protecting lives, restoring peace and upholding the common good.
