Manchester United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim, has been scrutinised by the club’s supporters worldwide following the disappointing result against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Portugal international was speaking during his presser after the game asking Manchester United supporters to believe in him despite the poor results since he was appointed from Sporting Lisbon.
What did Ruben Amorim say to Manchester United supporters?
He said,
“I will do everything, always thinking about what is best for the club. Until I’m here, I’ll do my best. The rest is not my decision. I am suffering more than the fans. I understand how football is and the results dictate the narrative. Did you think we were the better team against Arsenal? They had Odegaard, Rice and Zubimendi. I see it that way. I know that is hard for people”.
Manchester United’s four points from four games (W1 D1 L2) is the club’s poorest start to a league season since 1992-93, when they also had four points from their opening four matches under Alex Ferguson. The only victory of this season came against the newly promoted side Burnley at Old Trafford on match day 3.
The Red Devils face Chelsea, Brentford and Sunderland in their next three games.
