Barcelona forward, Marcus Rashford, has matched the club’s Lionel Messi’s incredible feat in the UEFA Champions League after scoring a brace against Newcastle United.

Two goals from Rashford gave Barcelona a 2-1 victory against Newcastle at St. James’ Park on Thursday night.

During the encounter, Rashford had six shots, 10 touches inside the Newcastle box, the most dribbles with five, and the most possession with six.

However, according to Opta, no Barcelona player has managed to achieve Rashford’s incredible stats from the Newcastle game since Messi in 2015.

Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick showered praise on Rashford.

Flick also insisted that Rashford’s display was just the first step in the right direction.

Rashford is currently on loan at Barcelona from Premier League club, Manchester United.
