A two-year-old girl was allegedly r@ped and murd3red at her home in Hartington Close, in Thornaby, North Yorkshire.
Isabelle Rose Welsh can be named and pictured for the first time after a judge lifted reporting restrictions preventing the publication of her identity. The toddler d!ed in hospital after police were called to a property in Thornaby-on-Tees on Sept 13 following reports of concern for her welfare.
Subsequently, police arrested a man and woman the next day.
Alexandra Walker, 25, and Harrison Simpson, 21, appeared in court on Monday, September 22, charged with her murd3r, with Mr Simpson also accused of r@ping the child.
Walker is Isabelle’s mum, according to the Sun.
Isabelle’s devastated relatives described her as “always full of smiles” as flowers and teddy bears were laid outside her home.
Josh Welsh, 26, Isabelle’s father, paid tribute to his daughter and said his family was supporting each other through the ordeal.
In a poignant tribute, Isabelle Rose’s distraught family told Teesside Live they wished for her photo to be shared on social media, rather than those accused of her k!lling. Their tribute described Isabelle Rose as a two-year-old “with a full life ahead of her.”
They said: “She was always full of smiles. Isabelle loved to watch Peppa Pig as that was her comfort show. She also loved her dummies and dancing.”
Isabelle’s dad, Josh Welsh, also paid tribute to his “princess”. “Rest in peace Isabelle,” he said. “Daddy loves you all the world and back.”
The family also expressed their gratitude to those who have offered “kind words and condolences” since the tragic loss of the much-loved toddler.
Hundreds of people have expressed their shock, sorrow and condolences to the family on social media.
Walker, from Hartington Close, Thornaby, faces charges of murd3r and causing/allowing the de@th of a child. Simpson, also residing at Hartington Close, is accused of murd3r, r@pe and causing/allowing the de@th of a child.
