Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Scholes, has hit out at the club loanee, Marcus Rashford, labelling him a disgrace.

Scholes said he is not pleased with the England international’s behaviour at both Manchester United and Barcelona.

Rashford left Manchester United for a loan move to Barcelona during the summer transfer window.

Reports from Spain said the 27-year-old did not make Hansi Flick’s starting XI for their league game against Getafe on Sunday for arriving late to a pre-match meeting.

While at Manchester United, the Englishman was once dropped by Erik ten Hag after he overslept and missed a team meeting in December 2022.

The current manager at Old Trafford, Ruben Amorim, also dropped the player, reason being that the attacker did not approach training as required.

Scholes ripped Rashford for his refusal to change his attitude.

“I really struggle to feel happy for Marcus Rashford,” Scholes said on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast.

“Mainly because of his attitude. His attitude towards Man United towards the end was disgraceful.

“His whole demeanour about him was a disgrace.

“I think he quit on Man Utd. When you quit once, you’ll quit again. He was late last night [for Barcelona].

“He won’t get away with that for long at Barca. There’s absolutely no chance.

“How can you sleep these days? Your phone, f*****g alarm, whatever. How can you sleep in?

“He’s definitely got the talent to be [one of the best players in the world]. But he’ll never have the mentality.”

In his days at Old Trafford, the England international scored 138 goals and provided 78 assists for his teammates across 426 matches.
