Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has told Benjamin Sesko he cannot make it at the club if he continues with his current display.

This was after the Slovenian registered just six touches against 10-man Chelsea in the first half of their Premier League clash on Saturday.

Sesko was not able to find the back of the net for Manchester United once again.

United brought in Sesko in the summer for a reported fee of £74m to help out in their lingering attacking problems.

He has now played six games for the Red Devils, including one in the Carabao Cup, but is yet to score his first goal for the club.

During the game against Chelsea, the Slovenian was subbed off at half-time.

Ferdinand said the player must find a way to change the situation, starting by speaking to his teammates.

“In the first half, against 10 men, he’s had six touches,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube podcast. “Six touches!”

“I think the responsibility goes to the striker as well [as other players],” Ferdinand added.

“In today’s game there’s enough at your disposal technology-wise and clip-wise that you can get it in black and white on the iPad and say to your teammates, ‘You know when you got in that position, look where I am’.

“It’s decision making in the final third that’s going to set him free or it isn’t, and he’s got to try and dictate to a lot of those players either through runs that make it so obvious or physically telling them after a game.”

Manchester United have played five games in the Premier League.

They have won two, including Saturday’s 2-1 win over Chelsea, lost two and drew one.
