Former Real Madrid star, Alvaro Benito, has named two attackers better than 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, Ousmane Dembele.
Recall that Dembele won the 2025 Ballon d’Or on Monday night after an impressive 2024/25 season for PSG.
Speaking on the development, Benito categorically stated that Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Madrid’s Kylain Mbappe are two world’s best attackers ahead of Dembele.
“The criteria for the Ballon d’Or is purely subjective assessment by the people who vote,” Benito was quoted by GOAL as saying.
“That’s why I don’t quite believe this award. Mbappe, to me is a better player than Dembele.
“In terms of potential, the best two attackers in the world are Mbappe and Yamal.”
Mbappe finished in the top 7 in the Ballon d’Or ranking while Yamal finished in second place.
