Former Manchester United manager, Ralf Rangnick, was on Tuesday rushed to the hospital.
The Austria national team boss requires ‘further treatment’ in picking up an infection following ankle surgery.
Rangnick is said to have undergone multiple surgeries on his ankle in recent months.
Bild reports that the German will spend longer time in hospital this time around.
The news outlet reports that the manager picked up the infection from the hospital last week and will now cancel his latest squad announcement next week.
Lars Kornetka, Austria assistant coach, will continue in his place while he recovers.
Rangnick went through a routine ankle three months ago but the surgical wound became seriously inflamed forcing him back to the hospital.
The German manager used an E-bike to get across the pitch during Austria’s World Cup qualifying win over Bosnia and Herzegovina last month.
