Comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr. Jollof and currently serving as Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed frustration over the worsening traffic in Lagos State.
In a video trending online, Mr. Jollof recounted being trapped on the road for more than five hours. He urged the Lagos State Commissioner for Transport, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, to publicly apologise to residents and provide a clear explanation for the gridlock.
“You owe Lagosians an apology. You must tell us what caused that kind of traffic,” he said in the clip.
Sharing more details in the video’s caption, the entertainer wrote, “I spent 5 hours and 35 minutes moving from Victoria Island to Lekki. Eko ni baje. Anyone planning to come to Lagos, Nigeria, brace yourself for insane traffic.”
In another post, Mr. Jollof vowed never to relocate to Lagos despite any lucrative offers. “Even if you give me a penthouse, $10 million in cash, a yacht, and a Lamborghini, I still won’t move to Lagos. How can anyone spend four hours in traffic within VI? Lagos just messed with my mental health,” he declared.
