Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone has named Julian Alvarez as the club’s best player.
Simeone spoke after Alvarez helped Atletico Madrid to beat Rayo Vallecano in the LaLiga on Thursday.
According to him, Atletico needs to help the 25-year-old Argentina international.
Recall that a hat-trick from Alvarez gave Someone’s side a 3-2 win against Rayo Vallecano at Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
“Julián Álvarez is the best player we have, we need to take care of him and keep him for many years at Atlético,” Simeone said at his post-match interview after the game, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
“We have to help him be even better than he is.”
Alvarez joined Atletico Madrid from Manchester City in 2024.
He will now hope to lead Atletico Madrid to victory when they take on a Real Madrid in the LaLiga derby this weekend.
