Arsenal’s former striker, Ian Wright, has dropped a shock prediction for the Premier League game between Chelsea and Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues, who suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester United last weekend, will be eager to return to winning ways.

Enzo Maresca’s side are currently sixth in the Premier League table with five games gone.

Their weekend opponents are 14th on the table with just one victory across their five Premier League games so far this season.

However, Wright believes that the Seagulls are going to beat the west London side this weekend.

Brighton thrashed Barnsley 6-0 in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

“Brighton are going to beat them,” Wright told the Stick to Football podcast.

“I would rather go with Brighton from what I’ve seen.”

However, former Liverpool man, Jamie Carragher, countered the prediction, saying that Chelsea will get back to winning.

“I’m going for a Chelsea win and they’ll win 2-1,” the former Liverpool defender added.
