Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido recently shared one of the most unusual fan messages he has ever received.
In a post on his Instagram story, the singer revealed a direct message from a follower who urged him to give up private jets and travel on commercial flights for an entire month during his upcoming Nigerian tour.
The fan’s note suggested that Davido’s success had raised the bar for other entertainers and proposed that the artist “reverse” the trend with a symbolic gesture. The message read in part:
“David, please can you do a protest on behalf of us that book artists for gigs and on behalf of people who fly commercial planes in general just one month of you flying commercial flights for this Naija tour. It will trend and humble every other artist because na you cause all this wahala. So you just reverse am.”
Davido didn’t ignore the request; instead, he responded with a string of laughing emojis, showing he found the idea entertaining.
Meanwhile, the award-winning musician made headlines again for a more personal reason. Demonstrating his affection for his wife, Chioma, Davido gifted her a brand-new 2025 electric Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.
Viral videos captured the luxurious SUV’s delivery and Chioma’s emotional reaction as Davido proudly explained that he only buys “the best” for his partner. The couple, who share twins, celebrated the special moment together.
