Former England striker, Alan Shearer, has given his predictions for some of the Premier League games that will be played this weekend.

It all kicks off with Manchester United’s trip to Brentford, before Chelsea host Brighton at Stamford Bridge.

Champions Liverpool are at Crystal Palace and Newcastle host Arsenal in this weekend’s big game.

Shearer told BetFair: “Brentford v Manchester United – Brentford will be tough for them, so I’ll go for a draw. Prediction – Draw

Chelsea vs Brighton – I know Brighton were 2-0 up against Spurs last weekend, but I’ll go for a home win here. Prediction – Chelsea win

“Crystal Palace vs Liverpool – I’m going to go for a draw here. Prediction – Draw

“Manchester City vs Burnley – Home win. I can’t see anything other than there being one-way traffic here. Prediction – Manchester City win.

“Newcastle vs Arsenal – I’m going to go with Newcastle to beat Arsenal in a bad-tempered game. Prediction – Newcastle win.”
