A Nigerian man, Onyema Paul, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to a fellow Nigerian he met three days after he arrived in the UK.
According to Onyema, the compatriot invited him to his house on Wednesday, gave him a winter jacket, blankets and some household items, all without him asking.
“Nigerians in the diaspora >>>> Someone recognized at a supermarket just 3 days after I relocated to the UK,” he wrote.
“Today, on my way back from the gym, I bumped into the same person. Without me even asking, he invited me to his house instantly and gave me a winter jacket worth 40£, pots, boots, pillows, a bag, and blankets. (I don’t know his handle, otherwise I’d have tagged him. But I hope he sees this and knows I’m truly grateful.)”
