Freiburg goalkeeper, Noah Atubolu, could be set to snub Nigeria for Germany.
Atubolu has been called up by the German Football Association ahead their upcoming 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
The 23-year-old has impressed for the last seasons and was on the radar of Super Eagles coaches.
He was born in Germany to Nigerian parents and has been playing for the under 21s of Germany.
But according to FIFA rules, Atubolu can still play for Nigeria despite playing for Germany at youth level.
However, this latest invitation to play for Germany’s senior team could end that possibility.
Atubolu has been brought in to replace Oliver Baumann who has been excluded because of illness.
