Popular Nigerian influencer and tech entrepreneur, Vincent Lord, better known as B Lord, has once again got Nigerians talking after unveiling a video of an iPhone XR modified to look exactly like an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
In the trending clip shared on October 9, 2025, B Lord revealed that the device which still carries the internals of an iPhone XR had been refitted with a brand-new casing and upgraded camera setup sourced from China.
According to him, the revamped phone costs around ₦400,000, a far cry from the official iPhone 17 Pro Max, which sells for about ₦1.5 million in Nigeria.
B Lord described the product as an “affordable alternative” for those who want the premium look of Apple’s latest flagship without breaking the bank.
However, his revelation has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans applauding his creativity and others warning against promoting counterfeit products.
One social media user wrote:
“This is how people will buy fake phones thinking they got a real iPhone 17.”
Another commented:
“At least he’s honest about it. Some people will sell this thing as the real deal.”
The video has also reignited conversations about the growing market for cloned smartphones in Nigeria, where high exchange rates and import costs make original flagship devices almost unaffordable for many consumers.
