Chelsea have announced the signing of Nigerian central defender, Justin Osagie.
The defender joined the Blues on undisclosed fees after a successful trial at Stamford Bridge.
Osagie, 20, moved to Chelsea following the expiration of his contract with Peterborough United.
During his trial at Stamford Bridge, the central defender was said to have impressed Chelsea’s academy coaches and this earned himself a permanent deal.
Osagie is already part of the Blues’ development setup and was an unused substitute for the EFL Trophy fixture against Northampton Town.
Osagie moved from Southend United to West Ham United, before joining Celtic.
He signed for Peterborough United in 2024 after another impressive trial spell.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion are said to have at one point shown interest in the defender.
He is eligible to play for Nigeria and the Republic of Ireland.
