Social media critic Daniel Regha has reacted to Seyi Tinubu’s plan to distribute one million Bibles for his 40th birthday, mocking the gesture amid Nigeria’s economic woes.
Regha sarcastically suggested that Seyi could share anointing oil and holy water on his next birthday.
Regha wrote: “Seyi Tinubu’s birthday will be celebrated with the disbursement of ‘one million Bibles’ to whoever will accept; A million Bibles, wonderful.
“Maybe next time they can add anointing oil and holy water to facilitate prayers for the poor since that’s what is needed the most in the country now. Again, this is another sl@p to Nigerians. But can we blame anyone for this idea? Men of God set the examples.”
In other news…. Media personality and Celestial Church shepherd, Kunle Hamilton of Praiseville Global, has shared his views on Big Brother Naija Season 10 and its winner, Imisi.
In a video circulating online, Hamilton described the reality show as a “swimming pool of sin” that encourages people to copy other lifestyles.
He said that while he would “personally congratulate Imisi if I had her phone number,” he would not do so publicly.
Hamilton noted that Imisi could continue to prosper “if she maintains her Christian mindset.”
He also criticized clergy members who publicly congratulated the BBNaija winner, arguing that “no one should publicly celebrate its participants.”
According to him, endorsing such shows “sends the wrong message to young people, encouraging them to pursue success by any means.”
Imisi recently emerged as the winner of BBNaija Season 10, taking home a ₦120 million prize, amid strong support from Celestial Church members.
